Coffs Harbour Specific Data Info

IFD information in the Coffs Creek and Boambee Creeks catchments was updated to reflect the extreme orographic enhancement in these relatively small catchments. These small catchments are covered by a network of gauges that regularly show rainfall totals 3 times higher in rarer events than the main Coffs rainfall gauge at the airport. This IFD is based on a scaling relationship based on topographical predictors between the main gauge and the network of upstream gauges.
